As soon as I first had my hands on the Sizzix I knew it was made for EPP (English Paper Piecing).
If you can cut the shapes accurately and quickly, which you do as it is a die cutting machine, then it is an ideal combination. Especially if you order the 2 sizes of dies so one cuts fabric and one cuts the papers!
Here's how I got on with my hexagons:
Now I must admit I cheated a bit, as I use my machine to cut the fabric Hexagons, and then piece them without the papers, just 'American style' by hand. I don't even pin them so these little flowers grow really fast!
I used some off cuts from great new range of fabrics from Makower. It is called Endo, and you should look out for it in the shops now, as it will go fast!!
If you want to win a packet of 10in squares of this range leave a comment on this post over the next week, and I will pick a winner next Sunday. Tell me if you've had a go of EPP.
Today is a sewing day here, as it is raining! Hope you have a good stitching day where you are!
