Kansas City, Spring Quilt Market

I was at Quilt Market last weekend to promote my books and especially Utility Quilting. This really seems to be hitting a chord with people, so if you think you want quick simple ways to had quilt, stitches and designs, then check it out! Have a look over at Karin's blog to see a picture of me in action!

One of the best bits of news from Quilt Market this spring was that Liberty cotton will be out in August! Yeah!

Just look at all of the clours. We are hoping for Charm packs, so let them know if you think that would work!

I had another chance to meet Marcia Derse and see her great fabrics:

Check out her website as you can buy directly from her, so no wondering how to get hold of the great fabrics!

And Lotta Jans Dotter had a new line, Bella! Had to have that. And so I thought you might like some too.

I  will do a give away for the bag and the 5 fat quaters  below:

I think this has a nice summery feel, so tell me your thoughts on sewing in the garden! I will do a drawing next Friday.

Enjoy the sun!

Ha you know how to get my attention Carolyn!  Love all those fabrics!

I haven't really done much sewing in the garden this year – too wet before and now too hot!  But if I find a shady corner  – I could work on my hand quilting….

    Hello! love the Dresden Plate!
Sewing in the garden sounds so neat, I want to try it-maybe an old bench there would be nice!
    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the pics and sharing your experience with us!  I love the fabrics for the giveaway…I do a lot of sewing in my corner, but not much sewing in the garden!  If I won, it would certainly give me inspiration for a summer quilt!

I've been sewing in my daughter's garden in Sevenoaks today, a soothing way to pass the time while waiting for the barbecue to cook and watching my granddaughter's dancing show. Lots to do before our show in Littlebourne 2nd & 3rd June.

Hello I am glad to have found your blog.  I'm fairly local to you (down on the South Coast) and I love those Liberty cottons.
I'm still quite new to sewing quilts and my fabric stash is fairly tiny, so I would love to get my hands on those divine fabrics and Windham bag.
I am coming to the Sandown Quilt show and hope to meet you there. Meanwhile, I am about to start on my first paper pieced block for a pencil quilt (more on my blog about that if you are interested).
    Kind regards Liz xxxxx
